Description

Guidance on attaching a video to a Sponsored Products product ad. IMPORTANT: Amazon's Ads API does NOT support creating SP ad extensions (its create endpoint accepts Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and Amazon DSP only — not Sponsored Products), so SP video extensions must be created in the Amazon Ads console. This tool returns that guidance plus what the API CAN do for SP: query existing extensions and check moderation. For an API-creatable video extension, use Sponsored Brands or Sponsored Display.

asset_idstring requiredThe video asset library ID (from search_amazon_assets with asset_type='VIDEO', or upload_amazon_asset with asset_sub_type='BACKGROUND_VIDEO'). Sent to Amazon as the extension's renderedAssetId.
